With authentic stone and parquet combination floors in public areas, luxurious accommodations, lavish marble and teak wooden bathrooms, the interiors reflect warmth and elegance through the Art-Deco style of the famous French designer Jacques-Emile Ruhlmann, who became an icon of style in furniture design during the first decades of the 1900’s.
His credo being “to create something that lasts, the first thing is to want to create something that lasts forever” thus the whole character of the hotel meticulously restored is an Art-Deco landmark with the use of the rarest and most precious woods such as Macassar ebony, Brazilian rosewood and Ambonya burl, usually in combination with each other.
Hotel landmarks include the lobby area conceived as a peristyle under a fully glazed ceiling where the sky of Rome is visible while comfortably experiencing the public lounges, with geometric furniture portraying the classic design of the 1920’s.
All 120 spacious guest rooms and suites are designed with signature Italian and French Art-Deco style. Special touches include luxury cashmere blankets and Bang & Olufsen exclusive high-end audio and video systems in select rooms and suites.
